Positive Comments:

Cinematography – A lot people said we had a good use of camera angles e.g scenery of the high angles and buildings.

Mise en scene – People said that our locations were good because they allowed the audience to identify the urbanized area. For example the train station shot.

Lighting – It was ok… a lot of natural lighting was used to give an authentic atmosphere and it gave a realistic urban feel to the trailer.

Sound – No sound was used only natural sound.

Positive comment 5 – the audience can really identify and feel the urban youth area. It fit the conventions of our genre. It gave a very good art house theme just like ‘Bullet Boy’ did.

Criticism:

Cinematography – many people said that we must use a tripod to shoot steady shots, as you cannot put handheld shots in a film trailer, as it doesn’t suit the conventions.

Mise en scene – Gain more shots of the characters themselves, as it just looks like a tourist video, going on holiday.

Lighting – The scenes use too much natural lighting, and also it is too dark.

Sound – Start using, various soundtracks for example non-diegetic, parallel and maybe use and ironic soundtrack to give a stronger affect.

Criticism 5 – Use a natural environment to target our audience.

What else would you like to see in this production?

People would like to see more of an art-house theme. Also they want to see a montage sequence of the character(s).

What would you like to see for the postproduction editing?

A dominant voice over sound should be used to give an authentic feel and to contrast with the trailer conventions. Some fast editing for a montage sequence.
